Cottages in North Jutland
We offer three different, attractive and affordable cottages. They are all situated in beautiful natural surroundings with views of the forest and the valley. The cottages are suitable for one to six people. The cottages have a small kitchen with a fridge and a hob or gas burner. They also feature beds, a cosy seating area and a veranda. The cottages are ideal as accommodation during a stopover in, for example, Norway or Sweden.
The cottages are situated on the edge of the campsite, within walking distance of the toilet block and the communal centre, and they also offer beautiful views of the countryside. There are no fixed arrival or departure days for the cottages. Check-in is from 2.00 pm, and check-out is until 11.00 am.
Cottage near Skagen, Hirtshals and things to do in North Jutland
With a cottage in Tolne, you’ll have a peaceful base, whilst many of North Jutland’s attractions are within easy reach.
Skagen is about a 45-minute drive away. Here you can visit Grenen, take a stroll through Skagen or carry on to the unique landscape at Råbjerg Mile.
Hirtshals is about 30 minutes away and is ideal for a family trip to the North Sea Oceanarium or a trip out to the North Sea. Frederikshavn can be reached in about 25 minutes and offers a harbour atmosphere, town life and coastal experiences.
However, you don’t need to travel far to find great experiences. Tolne Nature Park is right on the doorstep of the cottages, with woods, hills and walking trails that make it easy to get out into nature.
Whether you’re looking for a cottage near Skagen, a cottage around Sindal, a convenient place to stay before catching the ferry in Hirtshals, or simply a few peaceful days in a cottage in the woods of North Jutland, Tolne is a great place to use as a base.
Little cottage
The small cottages are detached, set amidst the countryside, and are each furnished differently, so that every cottage offers a different, unique view.
There are three types of small cabin:
one for two people, one for three people and one for four people.
A-Cabin
The A-cabins are triangular cabins set in the heart of the countryside. They are suitable for one to a maximum of four people.
From the veranda, you have a beautiful view of the valley and the woods, and you can completely unwind whilst listening to the soothing sounds of nature.
Large cottage
The authentic cottages at Tolne Camping are set amongst the beautiful countryside of Tolne. The large cottages are detached and are situated in a central part of the campsite, offering stunning views of the valley and the woods.
The large cabins are suitable for one to a maximum of six people.

Experience the freedom of camping in our spacious hire caravan. The caravan has a large bed and a seating area that can easily be converted into an extra sleeping space for two people.

Our cottages in North Jutland are situated in the heart of Tolne Nature Park, surrounded by woodland, hills and green spaces. Here, you’ll be staying close to nature whilst also having a great base from which to explore the rest of North Jutland.
The cottages aren’t clustered together in a long row. They’re scattered throughout the countryside around the campsite, giving you more peace and quiet and the feeling of living right in the heart of the forest. This makes our cabins ideal for families, couples and nature lovers who are looking for a simple and cosy base for their holiday.
From Tolne, it’s a short distance to Sindal and Hjørring, whilst Skagen, Hirtshals and Frederikshavn can easily be visited on a day trip. You can therefore combine peaceful days in the countryside with beaches, towns and some of North Jutland’s most famous attractions.

We have three different types of cabin, so you can choose the one that suits the number of people in your group and the sort of holiday you’re looking for.
Small cabin
The small cabin is a simple and cosy option for a short stay or a holiday where the most important thing is to have a good base. It’s ideal for couples and small families looking for an affordable cabin in North Jutland who’d like to stay close to nature.
Medium-sized cottage
The medium-sized cottage offers families a little more space during their stay. Here, you can enjoy the green surroundings and use the cottage as a base for trips around North Jutland.
After a day out and about, you can return to the tranquillity of Tolne and enjoy the evening at the cottage.
Large cottage
The large cabin is for families and groups who need extra space. It’s ideal for a longer stay where you want plenty of space around you and the chance to holiday in the heart of nature.
It’s also possible to find a dog-friendly cottage in North Jutland with us. With Tolne Nature Park right on your doorstep, there are plenty of opportunities to go for walks together.
Furnishings and practical details
Our camping cabins in North Jutland are simply furnished with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. You’ll enjoy a little more comfort than when camping in a tent, whilst still retaining that feeling of being close to nature.
The cabins are equipped for simple cooking, with a kitchen and a gas hob. This makes it easy to prepare breakfast or a meal after a day of exploring. You can also enjoy time outdoors on the veranda and relax in the green surroundings.
The cabins are fitted with bunk beds, amongst other things. Showers and toilets are available in the campsite’s communal facilities, a short distance from the cabins.
Bed linen must be brought with you or can be hired by arrangement. At the end of your stay, the cabin must be cleaned so that it is ready for the next guests.
Cottage holidays in North Jutland all year round
The cabins are open all year round. This means you don’t have to wait for the summer holidays to enjoy a cabin holiday in North Jutland.
The autumn half-term is a special time in Tolne Nature Park. The forest changes colour, and the many paths are perfect for family walks. After a day out, you can return to the cabin and enjoy a peaceful evening.
In winter, the area becomes even quieter. A winter holiday in a cabin offers the chance to experience North Jutland outside the busy summer season, go on trips to the coast and enjoy the countryside around Tolne.
At Easter, the forest begins to come to life again. The days grow longer, and you can combine walks in the nature park with trips to places such as Skagen, Hirtshals and Frederikshavn.
Accommodation before the ferry from Hirtshals or Frederikshavn
If you’re travelling on to Norway or Sweden, a cabin in Tolne can also serve as accommodation before your ferry crossing. This can be handy if the ferry departs early in the morning or if you arrive in North Jutland late in the day.
Hirtshals ferry port is about a 30-minute drive from Tolne. This makes the campsite a good option for those looking for accommodation before the ferry from Hirtshals and who would like to start the next leg of their journey after a night in peaceful surroundings.
Frederikshavn ferry port is about a 25-minute drive away. From here, your journey can continue on to destinations such as Sweden and Norway.
We have no fixed arrival days, so your stay can be tailored to your journey. You can therefore also book a cabin for a single night’s stay whilst travelling through North Jutland.

Yes, bed linen is compulsory. Please bring your own, or hire it from us for 75 kr. per person.
